The ActiveTag system is primarily made up of activators, receivers, and antennas. Each plays an important role. First, the activator sends encoded information to the tags via external or internal antennas. Then, the tags send this information, as well as detail on the tag identification, to the network receiver. To accomplish a variety of tasks with discrete coverage zones, such as asset and personnel tracking, each antenna is directly connected to the activator.
This antenna creates flexible coverage zones by connecting directly to the activator, allowing for applications such as asset and personnel tracking. A loop of wire between two thin sheets of Plexiglas makes up the antenna. It can be installed this way or painted to blend in with its surroundings. The thin plex antenna is appropriate for indoor ceiling tiles and outdoor applications thanks to its slim shape and durable construction.
