The WeatherPro is designed for use in the harshest outdoor environments and was developed for use on the deck of cruise ships where the combination of salt water, air and pool chlorine was causing standard outdoor stanchions to rust within 3 months. The WeatherPro features a double powder coated stainless steel post and a base milled from a solid piece of aluminum. Standard stanchions have a cast iron base and once the powder coat wears off they rust, Weather Pros’s aluminum base will not rust even if the powder coat is damaged.
